The winter walking trail runs through Naamivaara, Rantavaara and Myllyn Pirtti.
From Naamivaara, you can take a small 800 m trail from the hut to Harry and Sirpa’s summer cowhouse and the same way back, or take a long circular route through Rantavaara. It will be about 3.6 km long. There is enough elevation on the trail that it may take your breath away.
The trail is not lit, so bring your own headlamp!
You can walk on the trail with regular winter shoes or snowshoes. It is not intended for skiing, sledding or cycling. Dogs are welcome for a walk, as long as their waste is collected from the trail.
The trail crosses the ski track a few times. Remember that skiers have the right of way, because their speed is often high, and it is not always possible to swerve or stop.
The winter trail is open to everyone. Welcome!
